The name Mutagex comes from mutagenic — that which causes mutation. We're not a lab, and we have nothing to do with biotechnology. The word simply captures how we think about software.
Good products aren't born finished. They absorb feedback, adapt to real usage, and become sharper with each iteration. That's what mutagenic means to us: purposeful change, built in from the start.

Mutagex was built on a single observation: most software projects fail not because the technology is wrong, but because the product never adapts. Teams ship version one, declare success, and move on — leaving a product frozen in time while the market moves around it.
We started in Boituva, in the interior of São Paulo state, with a deliberate choice to operate remotely from day one. That decision wasn't a compromise — it was a statement. Talent is distributed. Good ideas come from everywhere. The best person to solve your problem isn't necessarily in the same city. We serve clients in Sorocaba, Itu, Tatuí, Porto Feliz, Capelinha do Alto, and across Brazil without a single drop in quality or communication.

We run every engagement through a four-stage process — Immersion, Prototype, Build, Evolve — because we've learned that shortcuts at any stage compound into serious problems later. The stages aren't bureaucratic; they're discipline applied intelligently.
Immersion means we genuinely understand the problem before proposing a solution. We ask hard questions about users, business logic, constraints, and what success actually looks like six months post-launch. The answers shape everything that follows.
Prototype is where assumptions get tested cheaply. We'd rather surface a flawed assumption in a clickable prototype than in production code. This stage consistently saves weeks of build time.
Build is deliberate engineering — clean architecture, testable code, and infrastructure that doesn't lock you in. We deploy to production and watch real behaviour, not staged demos. Evolve is everything that happens after: the iterations, the fixes, the features shaped by real usage data.
Immersion
Deep discovery: user research, technical constraints, business model analysis, competitive context. We don't write a single line of code during this phase.
Prototype
Testable flows and interactive concepts validated with real stakeholders. Assumptions die here, not in sprint three of the build.
Build
